A friend passed this on to me for my collection, and I love the graphics on this pretty little box. Mending Hosiery is an interesting concept for our disposable society.

Lingerie: Slip by Movie Star, 1960s.

This ad was in the September, 1963 issue of McCall's Magazine. It is slip # 2102, has a lovely applique trim and in "all the wonderful colors: blue, pink, honey and red. White too."

Lingerie: Anne Fogarty and Gracette

1950s Anne Forgarty Crinoline Circle Slip with Crystal Pleat trim, Small. I did a little Research on the Internet, and what I found regarding the Gracette Label by Anne Forgarty is Thanks to Vintage Dealer Fuzzie Lizzie, who is a seller on Etsy, but who also has a vintage blog. Please find reference material below. FEATURES: Material is as listed in FuzzieLizzie's article: It is a semi-rigid material, a thin nylon with a stiff feel, but no so stiff it would be uncomfortable to move in. It has gored panels and a sweet double-ruffle trim at the hem: Chocolate layered with black. Button fastener at waist and metal zipper. Thin Waistband (3/4ths of an inch). Button may or may not be original to slip.

SOLD: 1950s 1960s NOS Lewella Brand Corset Cone Bra. Label and Box. "Figuratively Yours."

A local antique dealer bought a huge lot of old stock lingerie that had been in storage since the early 1960s, when a local department store closed it's doors. I was fortunate to acquire several corset bras, all cone-shaped, and many with the circle stitch cups. Most of them were still in their original box! This is one by Lewella called "Refresh;" I love the half-bra with illusion lace covering rest of the bust area. Lovely!
